A new facelift for an old carriage house

Our regular shoppers are familiar with our "sale area," which includes a cottage with a charming porch, courtyard, yard, and an old carriage house. This winter we remodeled the old carriage house. It has literally changed from floor to ceiling (paint, carpet, new ceiling, and track lighting)! We also added heat for those sale days that are just a little "crisp" in North Dakota. Fear not, the coffee bar is still there!

Black is in!

Black seems to be the color of choice for our "junker" shoppers. It just seems to have a certain elegance that everyone loves.

The Coolest "bar none"

This is a great back-bar made from an old upright piano and a waterbed headboard. How cool it that! It went to a good home during our fall sale, but don't worry, we are currently working on other cool bars and wine cabinets. Make sure to check those out at the spring sale...

Skiing Junk

It might be cold outside, but we had some hot skiing junk at our fall sale. Shown are a coat rack made from old wooden skis, using the original poles for hooks; a cool old framed skiing poster; and a "throne" fit for a king made from an old door and rails from the old "Coach" Bar.

Gone Junkin

In September we went on our annual junking vacation. As you can see, we have lots of junk to work on for our spring sale, which will be held in May of 2010 (the final date yet to be determined). Keep checking our blog to track our project progress!
